Happy Birthday Enoch & Jarom

Last Saturday Enoch (5) and Jarom (2) had a birthday party. Their birthdays are so close that Meg decided to do a joint birthday party for them this year. Well, me and my family were stuck at home horribly sick so I didn't get to attend. I did, however, want to show you the cake that Meg made for them that my sister texted to me when she was at the party. Meg makes some amazing cakes and this one was just that. I love all my nieces and nephews and was sorry to miss their birthday party. I'm am sure that they are glad that me and my fever didn't show up though.

He's Off Again

A few days ago Dan got some interesting news. Word was spreading that his next that for the next rotation in training for his job they were thinking of sending people to different places other than their home offices. He also heard a rumor that they were planning on sending him to California for this rotation. As soon as he heard he gave me a call to tell me the news. I wasn't sure how long this rotation was going to last so I was thinking maybe they would sending him away until Thanksgiving. I was really wrong. This next rotation starts November 16th and goes until mid February. Well, yesterday he called again to confirm all these rumors, Yep, he will be living in California until then. I wish I could say that we'll make the most out of these next three weeks until he leaves but he had already been scheduled to be out of town up until the time he leaves. I know that there are a lot worse things that could happen but I also know that I will miss him a lot. It looks like I will get to doing most of the house hunting myself. That might be a good thing, I'll get to pick my favorites and then he'll help make the final decision. :) It's definitely going to be an interesting next few months but I am so glad for our little family and for all those who are there for us.

One Step Closer

About a week ago we finally got our first offer on our house. Yes, after eight months and at least forty showings we FINALLY got an offer. That means we are one step closer to selling our house. We have been busy slowly boxing our house up. It's amazing how much stuff you acquire in eight years. We are planning on staying with my parents for a few months (thanks again mom and dad) until we find ourselves a new bigger place. We really do need more space. Now we just try to be patient and hope that everything goes through and hopefully we should be signing papers near the end of the month. We're keeping our fingers crossed.

Happy Birthday Emma!

It's hard to believe but my Emma just turned seven. This year she decided that she wanted to have a Spongebob birthday party. We were having people come through to look at our house so we decided to hold the party down at my parents this year. I can't believe how big and smart she is getting. She is always so imaginative and full of great ideas. She loves doing crafts and has also started to get over her shyness at school. I'm so glad that she is my little girl. It scares me to think that she is already half way to being a teenager already. I know it will come all too soon. I'm so glad she had such a great birthday!!
