July 2015

Mid August and I'm just getting around to finishing my July post.  That's just how it's been around here lately . . . super crazy!

It's that time of year again where I like to post lots of summer fun pictures.  If you do not enjoy pictures I suggest that you move along to something else, because there are going to be a lot!

We spent the 4th of July weekend up at our cabin this year.  I love being up at the cabin with family.  We always have such a great time, and I love that it is always so laid back.

Dan showing off his new body.  If I could whistle I would, but I can't :(

Watching the kids play in the creek

The couch is the perfect place to take a nap (even though we've got a few fakers here)

Get off that roof Emma!!

The kids learning to play horseshoes just as we did when we were kids

This creepy moth was hanging out on the porch with us

Aren't we so cute!

Towards the end of the weekend we decided to head down to my house to watch some fireworks.

Hanging out in the garage, because that's what we do

All was good until Dan lit a firework that malfunctioned and shot at a couple of our neighbors houses.  Everyone was ok, so that is good.

You know it was a great party when someone falls asleep on the driveway

This is going to sound a little strange, but we did an Easter egg hunt in July.  Dan was out of town on Easter, so we promised the girls we would do the egg hunt another time.  A few months later, we finally remembered.  Haha!

Happy . . . um . . . Easter

We took the kids bowling again.  These kids are getting better every time.

The girls did some artwork out back and they did so well I just had to get a picture of it!

All four girl cousins in braces, can you believe it!!

I was the assistant camp director for girls camp this year so I was able to go to camp with my Emma for her first time.  We had a very busy week up there, but we also had such a great time!

Getting ready for the snipe hunt

Yep, this is how we all felt at the end of the week

We spend the 24th of July weekend as we always do, up at our cabin surrounded by awesome family and friends.  I enjoy this weekend so much because of the awesome people that are my family.  I really have been blessed to have so many people around me that love me no matter what, are great examples to me, and always make me laugh.

My spotlight this post is on my cousin (or cousin once removed:)) named Brooks.  He told me that he reads my blog so I told him I would let the world know how awesome he is on my next post with an extra large picture.  He is awesome, he comes from an awesome family, and everyone needs to know this!!

So off we go onto to the big weekend.

Playing games

The men took the kids for a hike

Weird kids

We went to the Kamas Bull Wars

Saturday morning, that means it's time for the Samak parade!

They all get cuter every year!

My little girls

Time to dig in the sawdust for prizes!

Everything is more fun with a mustache

Getting ready for the shaving cream fight!

So much fun!!!!!!

The water was a bit cold this year.  Cleaning off after the shaving cream fight was full of screams.

That's one way to get cleaned off

24th of July and horseshoes

Making treats around the campfire

The morning we head home we always have a horseshoe tournament with the kids

We came in 3rd!
