February & March 2016

Can anyone tell me exactly where the last two months have gone?  I know I was cold, that I watched a lot of Downton Abbey, and paid for a new fence to keep the dog in, but other than that, I don't know what went on.  Good thing I take a picture every now and again, or I would never remember.

Emma has decided that she doesn't want to be away from her friends at school, so she is going back to school next year.  I'm happy and sad.  We had so much fun spending this school year together, and I know that we all learned so much.  Hannah wanted to continue to be homeschooled, but after a lot of thought and talking it through, we decided that it wouldn't be best for her to be all by herself (and just mom) all of the time.  :(

Here is Emma talking to a couple of friends at the class sign up night.  I'm excited and scared that she is making new friends.  I know before long she will be gone all of the time.

Early February we had our Super Bowl party.  We had a great time with a house full of people and a lot of food.

Look at that crowd!

We also went to New Beginnings with Emma.  I can't believe she is 13.  She is only 1 inch shorter than me, and still growing.  She will pass me up soon, I just know it!

I found my weird dog asleep upside down with a sock in his mouth one night.

This is my cute little family.  I love them all so much!!

I love going to the movies.  I'm glad for $5 Tuesdays!

There was one day in February that it was actually warm enough outside to take the kids on a walk to the park.  Yes, there was still snow outside, but after being stuck inside for so long, it was just right.

I keep trying to convince my family that Tobi smiles.  This is my proof that he does!

Every school day Jeffy comes over before I take him to kindergarten.  I can't believe that next year he will be heading to 1st grade and he won't need his aunt Angie to watch him anymore.  I hope he doesn't forget all about Angie movie day, and thirsty Thursdays.  :(

Emma has been spending a lot of her free time drawing.  She is such a good artist!!  I love all the cool things she draws, and am amazed by her talent.

I decided to invent the Tobi Robie (thanks for the name dad!) because I was tired of Tobi getting my house all wet after his bath.  Look how excited he is to be wearing it.  Hahahahahaha!!!

My nephew Enoch was in another play this year.  It is fun to see all the cool talents that we have in the family.  He is quite the good singer!

Cali turned 11 this month.  These kids are growing like weeds!!

Emma is totally obsessed with Harry Potter right now because she is reading all the books for the first time.  It's cute to see how excited she gets about it all.  She told me the other day that we should have another Harry Potter Party because now she will appreciate it more.  :)  We've got some plans coming up in this next month that just may make her Harry Potter dreams come true!

The kids made these cute wands

Another movie night.  No, we weren't seeing X-men, we saw Zootopia!

I gave my brother this awesome surprise for his birthday . . . and he didn't even notice.  How do you miss this!  Haha

For Christmas we all bought each other gift cards to go to the mystery escape room in the Gateway.  We finally booked a night and tried to get out of the King Under the Hill room.  It was cool working all together to figure out the puzzles.  We were soooooooooo close to getting out of the room.  Only one more lock to open, and we had the code!  Anyway, this was such a fun night.  We really want to do it again sometime, and we will make it out!

Notice our awesomely nerdy name :)

Once again we had our annual cove Easter egg hunt.  It's cool to see how all these kids are growing up too.

Last weekend we celebrated Easter.  Such a great day at church and with family.  Too bad Dan had to head out of town that day, but we still made the most of it.

They get to egg hunt at nana's too!

Papa thinks he is one of the kids

Hoppy Easter!

And I guess that is all for now.  I am hoping for some warmer times ahead, and we finally are going to get out of the house for a few days, so I am really looking forward to this next month.
