May 2014

Yay!!  We have officially made it to the end of the school year!  I can't believe that in one more week my girls will be out of school and we'll be heading into summer.  We've got a few fun plans so far for the upcoming summer, and I'm excited to just being able to relax too.

May was full of spring fun, last minute school projects, and field trips.  We've all been enjoying this great weather and are looking forward to days at the swimming pool!

Early in the month I was able to go with Hannah and her class on a field trip to a farm out in Herriman.  I know that I am very lucky to be able to spend days like this with my girls.   It was a really nice day and the kids loved getting outside for a bit.

This is her best friend Baylee.  We were so excited that she was in our group!

Like mother, like daughter

Hannah's 2nd grade class

Looking good!

She did a great job riding the fake bull

On her actual birthday I set up a few small decorations for her to come down to in the morning.  The Elmo balloon was something that I bought for her very first birthday, so I though it would be funny to bring it out again for her 8th!!
Happy Birthday Hannah!!

The Secret Tour of Disneyland movie

She even got a birthday song at Leatherby's!

This month was also Hannah's baptism.  She looked so beautiful in her new dress, and we had such a great day with family!

Present time!

Hannah is in the melody choir at her school, and this month they had their last performance.  She loves doing things like this, especially with her friend Baylee.

Bell song

They sang "What Does the Fox Say".  It was silly.  :)

Hannah is now officially in Activity Days, and this month there was a mother daughter activity with the older and younger girls.  I was so excited that I was able to go with both of my girls!!  The activity was cake wars.  We had a cake decorating contest.  We didn't win, but we had so much fun making the cake.  Not to mention I ate 3/4 of the cake by myself in the days after.  :D

A few weeks ago my sister, mom and I all bought tickets for the Heber railroad.  Yes, it is a very slow moving train, but the kids had so much fun on the ride!!

My Awesome mom and dad!

My cute family!!

It was the perfect night to go, the weather was great and the views were awesome.

I love all these little stinkers!!

This past Wednesday was Emma and Hannah's dance recital.  They have been working so hard learning their dances and it was finally time to show them off.  I'm so proud of both of my girls.  They are so cute too!

My girls!!

Earlier this month Dan finally got himself a new car.  He purchased his old car years ago just after he got home from his mission.  It was a '96 Mazda Protege.  It was slowly dying and he was needing to put oil in it every time he put in gas.  We decided that it was time to get him something nicer and more reliable.  He has worked so hard these past few years and deserved something he really wanted.  He searched long and hard (trust me, he REALLY did) and found a 2012 Ford Fusion Sport.  It's a very nice car, and he's so happy!!

Hannah has been a very busy girl this month.  She also had her patriotic program and did a great job.  She was picked for her class to read her paper about why she loved America.  It was too cute.  My favorite part was when she said she loved America because all the people here are so nice.  What a sweet girl!

Emma has also been working hard this month.  She is in 5th grade this year and therefore she was required to do a State project.  She had Oregon.  She worked very hard pulling her float and board together.  We had so much fun together laughing as we came up with ideas for the float.  It's starting to prepare us for all the homework she will be doing once she enters middle school.  Yikes!!

Over Memorial weekend we headed up to our cabin for a few days.  The weather wasn't the greatest, but we made the most out of it, and it's always great to be with family.
We sat in front of the fire most of the day Saturday

Always need to get a few games of horseshoes in too

On Memorial day after Dan and I worked very hard trying to get our yard pulled together.  (Don't get me started on this, maybe another time)  Afterwards we headed down to my parents for a little bbq.  Emma is like a little monkey and climbed high up in their tree.

Alright, so here we are.  I'm so excited for everything going on in my life.  Things are great!!  See you next month!!
