August 2015

Still playing catchup, so lets head straight into August.

We went to the Parade of Homes this year.  We haven't been in a few years.  It's always a lot of fun to see all of the new houses.

I painted Pooh for Hannah and Mike Wasowski for Emma

The dogs are very confused about the beds that I bought them.  They both like the other ones bed more.

We spend a morning at Gardner Village and here is a good picture showing what my girls are doing most of the time.

My Emma is such a good artist.  She just finds pictures on the internet and copies them.  So cool!

In August Dan and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary.  I love this guy!!

On the day of the eclipse we took all of the kids over to the library for a viewing party.  We had a good time watching the eclipse and reading books.

The we all headed out to lunch!

The girls made some cute things with clay one day during the summer.

Then we headed up to Heber camp for our Hastings' family reunion.  We had such a fun time hanging out with family and doing the outdoor courses.

Soon enough it was time to head back to school.  Here is Emma on her first day back!  I am homeschooling Hannah and my niece Cali this year, and I can tell already that it's going to be a lot of fun.

The summer is ending so we decided to have a smores party at my house one night.  Just what we needed at the end of summer.

Tobi hid under the stairs because he is a weird dog

Alright, looks like I am getting caught up on this blog and that is good news.  See you next month!

July 2017

Yes, I know that I am a bit behind.  I need to get my stuff together and get up to date on this blog.  So off we go back to July.  I remember July was busy and hot.  Good thing I took pictures, or I would never remember all of the things we did.  On to July . . .

We took the kids bowling one day.  The kids are getting better and better, and a few even beat out me and Nikki.  I'm am so glad they are such good buddies.  They are getting older and they still always have a good time together.

We had a 4th of July water party at my parents house.  Fun fun fun!

We lit off some fireworks, and only one fell over and shot at the kids.  I'd say that's a success.

We took Cali (12) and Hannah (11) to dinner one night and they gave Cali the 9 and under kids menu.  HAHAHA!

The girls made 24th of July shirts for the cabin again this year.

The adults went to an escape room  . . . and we escaped!!

We must have lost our minds in July, because we decided to add another member to our family.  This is Jack.  He is the cuddliest dog I've ever met.

We headed up to the cabin for the 24th of July weekend.  We started the weekend by taking the kids to the kids night and rodeo at the park.

It was a beautiful night!

Enoch won a prize for being the rowdiest fan!

Hannah was worn out after the long night

Then came the big day full of games, horseshoes, a parade and more!!

Proof I did make it on the winners shed once

My girls are always silly together (when they are not fighting, that is)

When I have time I like to paint pictures.  Here is one of Garfield I did.

Jack literally likes to hang out right next to me all of the time

We spent one day at Springville reservoir with our neighbor friends.  It was such a fun day.  We all got to paddleboard for the first time.  The weather was a little iffy, but it was still an awesome day!

We finally were able to get Jack in for a haircut, and he was even so much more cute!!

And there you have it.  It was a very fun, long hot July!
