Happy Birthday Hannah!!

Yesterday we had a party to celebrate Hannah's 4th birthday.  I can't believe that four years ago I was in the hospital ready to have my Hannah when Oprah came on and Dan told me he didn't want to watch Oprah so he almost left.  Good thing he didn't or he would have missed the whole thing.

Hannah is such a sweet little girl, that is, a sweet little girl until you make her mad.  Even when she's mad she's still cute, she just likes to growl a lot when she's angry.  She is such a girly girl.  She loves makeup and dresses and dolls and everything pink.

She picked a Bolt cake and got a new bike for her birthday.

Playing Catch Up

Hello, I am still alive. Time has been slipping away from me lately but I thought a catch up post needed to be done. There is going to be a lot here so be prepared.

In March we celebrated Cali's 5th birthday. She had a fairy party and Meg made this awesome cake.

Wow we have a lot of kids

The kids also had some fun on a warm day playing outside.

At the end of March we finally moved into our new home. We had been searching for a few months and finally found the right one. I always thought that searching for a house would be such a fun experience. When it came time to do it, it actually ended up being more of a stressful thing. I'm so glad we finally found this house and that Dan finally started liking it as much as I did. Here are a few pics from when we were moving in. We spent many days surrounded by boxes.

We had a lot of fun decorating eggs for Easter. The kids also enjoyed the hunt at my parents on the big day. We actually spent the night before Easter at the Franc's, but that is an embarrassing story so I won't tell it . . . ok, you pulled my leg, I will tell you. The night before Easter my parents came over to help us put up our new blinds all over our house. As we were doing this I kept smelling gas. I was smelling it upstairs while we were putting up blinds then downstairs while we were also putting up the blinds. Well, after my parents left I kept smelling it so I started to get worried. Anyway, I decided that I didn't want to take any chances so I had us all spend the night at my sisters. Well the next day after we came home for the night I was standing by the window closing the blinds and was smelling gas again. I leaned over to grab something and my head leaned close to the window and then I started really smelling it, yes, it was the new blinds that had a horrible gas like smell. So I had to call everyone to tell them how silly I was for thinking we had a gas leak or something. I know, I'm a nerd. Now while you're having a laugh at my silliness, enjoy these Easter pics.

April 10th Sierra turned 7 and she had an iCarly party. The kids are obsessed with iCarly.

If you look closely you will see a lost stranger in this pic.  Yep, that is Dan!

This past weekend we headed over to the Franc's to celebrate Gabe's 7th birthday also. He had an army party.

There is the birthday boy!!

We have been enjoying pulling together our new house. I know Dan has been a little nervous about buying so much, but when you have a new empty house you always need to shop for some stuff . . . like couches. Yep, we got into this new house and didn't have a couch. It feels so good to finally be pulling it all together. It's starting to feel more and more like a house every day. We still have a lot to do but we are making progress. Dan has been in Washington DC these last few weeks doing some more training for his job. We are so grateful for his wonderful job that he absolutely loves but the travel sometimes is a little overwhelming. Hopefully now that he is getting his training done he won't be gone so much. I miss him so much every time he leaves.

Yay, now I think I've gotten all caught up. I'm going to try and keep up on it better now that things have started to settle. This coming weekend we will be celebrating my Hannah Bo's 4th birthday so I will be sure to get some pictures up. I can't believe my baby is 4.

. . . and finally, since it's been a while I'll end with my list.

Loving it

1 - My new house (duh!)

2 - Dan comes home in 3 days!!

3 - Sunny days (in between all these rainy days)

4 - Crushed ice (I know, weird. My new fridge crushes ice and it's become my new habit to sit at night at chew on it)

5 - Cooking in my new kitchen!

Bugging me

1 - Qwest (They set up my phone service a few weeks ago and it doesn't work. Someone is coming tomorrow and they better fix it)

2 - The men I called to come pour a patio in my back yard (I've called them three times and they've told me they would come each time and they NEVER do!!!)

3 - Allergies (seriously, will the wind stop blowing it all up my nose)

4 - RC Willey (let just say it took four trips to get me the right dining table and all the chairs to my house)

5 - That guy blabbing on the Arby's commercial (I don't know why, but when I see him I want to slap him)

Super Bowl Fun

Yesterday was the Super Bowl and you know what that means, a party!!!  We decided to root for the Saints this year so we decided that we needed to have a Mardi Gras.  I had a fun time making my first batch of Jambalaya and it turned out really good. (At least that's what everyone told me; maybe they were just being nice)  The kitchen was the Mardi Gras complete with Mardi Gras music I downloaded off the internet.  The front room was dedicated to the Saints; black, silver and gold.  We had a great time watching the Saints win and eating lots of food.  Thanks for coming everyone, I hope you all had fun.
