I can't believe that I actually thought that once school started that things might start to slow down a bit, but I was wrong. September was such a fun and crazy month! My girls are both having a great time being back in school and Jeffy and I are having a good time hanging out and working (he is my work buddy). Although Dan has spent most all of this month in Puerto Rico, he came home last Friday and we've had him here for a week and it's been nice. Too bad we have to send him back on Monday. :(
September means we get to take our yearly visit to the fair, and this year we went not once, but twice. The first time I went with my brother and his family and the second time I went with my sister and her family.
They were a little hesitant to pet the cow
This goat did NOT like Amber petting it. Haha!
Of coarse we had to visit the little helpers farm
Looking cute in their matching kitty shirts
Back at the farm again
We bought them a few ride tickets and let them go on a couple of rides this time.
We were watching the sheep judging - it was interesting . . .
Those are some big pumpkins!
I bought my girls these cool bow and arrows!
My brother wears a Goonies shirt nearly every single Sunday down to my moms for Sunday dinner. We thought it would be funny to buy us all Goonies shirts and surprise him one Sunday. But of coarse it's the ONE Sunday he doesn't wear his Goonies shirt. It was still hilarious though when he looked around and finally figured out we were all wearing Goonies shirts.
A few weekends ago we had a small flood in the neighborhood. It was basically just the street that flooded, no houses. When the kids saw this they asked me if they could go play in it so I said yes!
I wasn't going to let them have all the fun. I rolled up my pants and played in the mud and water too!
The kids even ended up on the news that night!
Who wants a hug?
Messy, but oh so fun!
Since Dan is in Puerto Rico I took a picture of him while we were Skyping one day and set it as my computer background. He thinks it's ridiculous, but I think it's hilarious!
Emma turns 11 on the 30th and she decided this year that she wanted to have a mustache birthday party, so we took a few pictures to put on her invitation.
Dan has been able to spend the week away from Puerto Rico mainly because of a conference that he had in Las Vegas this past Mon - Wed. I decided that if he was going to be around that I wanted to go with him. I had such a fun time wandering around checking out the sights while he had his conference.
This is the hotel we stayed in, the Aria
The view of the neighbor hotels pool from our room
I always love to see the fountains!
The conservatory at the Bellagio was one of my favorite places to see. It was all decorated for fall!
Some guy offered to take our picture, he seemed unable to take a steady picture (if you know what I mean, haha)
There is a restaurant inside this thing
Yes, I may be a big nerd, but while in Vegas I had so much fun visiting the Titanic Exhibit and the Bodies Exhibit. (alone, I might add, Dan was working) They wouldn't allow any pictures to be taken in either of the exhibits, but they both were sooooo cool. I am a bit squeamish, so I thought I may freak out over real bodies in the Bodies exhibit, but I did good.
In Vegas it rains inside :)
The lobby of our hotel
I could seriously wander all day looking at all the cool decor in all of the different hotels
This is the new Ferris wheel they are in the process of building. It's going to be HUGE!
I took this for Emma, ever since seeing Journey 2 I think she has a thing for The Rock
This store in the Venetian reminded me of my favorite move Amadeus
On Friday it was finally time to have Emma's mustache birthday party!! We had such a fun time taking the kids to see Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 and then having pizza and cake and ice cream.
Party time!
Jerom looked awesome with his mustache and 3D glasses
I went to the movie with this silly mustache on
Enoch's mustaches were multiplying throughout the night
Awesome!
Present time!
She loves books!
She had to have a mustache cake to go with her mustache party
Happy 11th Birthday Emma!!!!!
So now we head on into October and the holiday season. I'm excited for all the fun times I will be able to spend with my family and friends. And before we know it, we will have Dan back home full time again. I can't wait!!
