24th Of July Cabin Weekend

This year it was decided that we would celebrate the 24th of July and have our annual horseshoe tournament the weekend before the 24th of July.  This is one of my favorite weekends of the year!!  It's a time to relax and spend time with family.

Before we headed up to the cabin we needed get the kids' shirts made.  This year we decided to try tye dye and it worked out pretty well.

Once we had the shirts all taken care of we got packed up and were on our way to the cabin.

The first night we took a walk down the road to the haunted cabin

We got up there a few days early so that we could relax and  let the kids have time to play in the creek.  The next morning we went for another walk up the hill.

Then we drove into Kamas to get some ice cream.

The kids wanted to take a ride on the 4 wheelers, this was the group that came with me.

That night we let the kids paint rocks that the found.

Later the kids decorated their bags to hold their candy in the next day.

The big day had finally arrived!!  Look at all these cute faces!!

My dad tye dyed his own shirt, but as soon as he got it on and took one look in the mirror he decided he looked ridiculous and took it off.  HAHA

 This year my horseshoe partner was my daddy!  We didn't take it all, but we did well coming in at 4th place!  I really should have gotten a picture of us together, but I wasn't feeling to great this day so I didn't get nearly as many pictures as I should have.  The big winners were Kwinton and Sarah!!

After a long fun weekend the girls fell asleep on the way home.

As always, we had a great time up at the cabin with everyone.  I can't wait to do it again next year!
