So here we are, we made it to the end of April. We had a lot of fun in April and as always it seems to have gone by way too fast. Every time I look at my girls they are getting bigger and bigger and although it makes me excited for new adventures in life, I have times where I miss my little ones. I can't believe that Hannah is turning 8 in a few days and being baptized, and that Emma will be turning 12 in September. Yikes!! I'm trying to enjoy every minute with them, because before I know it they will be teenagers that are too cool for their mom. Which will be weird, because I am pretty cool :)
I started off them month with a quick trip down to San Diego with my parents. Dan was working up in LA and he was able to drive down to San Diego to spend the day at Sea World with us which was great!
The hotel we stayed in in downtown San Diego was an old bank. We wandered around the building to check out the cool stuff. They had old telephone booths and a couple of giant bank vaults in the basement.
The Gaslamp Quarter
The lobby of our hotel, so cool!
We spend a whole day in Balboa Park. This was such a cool place to visit!! They have so many things to look at and a lot of museums to check out.
Air guitar in the Guitar Exhibit, haha.
We went to the Pirate exhibit, and although they wouldn't let us take pictures inside, I hung out with this pirate afterwards
A really old big tree
My daddy!
My mom!
We went out to Coronado Island and checked out the Coronado hotel
Then we went to Old Town
My parents are so great, and they are a lot of fun to vacation with! (Just don't try to race my mom down the hall in a hotel, she will sacrifice her body to try and win:))
Don't we look cool!
It's hard to tell from this picture, but this is Barbosa's ship from Pirates of the Caribbean
We took a Seal Tour. It was a bus that drove right into the water and then was a boat that took us out to see the seals and sea lions. It was pretty cool!
I didn't get a picture of the bus/boat, but I found this online
On the bus/boat
Our last day Dan drove down to spend the day at Sea World with us. I was so happy that he made the drive!
Dan meets a new friend
We were made for each other :)
Shamu!
My mom and I didn't want to get wet on the water ride so we bought ponchos. Dan thought we were ridiculous.
Last night, what a beautiful view!
The night that we got home was the day before my dad's birthday. My sister and Meg set up a surprise party for him when we came home.
The kids played a cool trick on papa, they distracted him with a candy bar . . .
. . . and then sprayed him with silly string!
It was awesome!!!!!!
Then we saw a rainbow when we were heading home
Look who came home for a couple of days! Dan wanted me to take a picture of him and these giant strawberries, he was very excited about it. Hehe!!!!
We have an annual Basalt Cove Easter Hunt. I'm so glad that my kids have so many good friends they get to grow up with. I'm also very grateful that we have such good friends in the circle!!
Off they go!
I cracked a few confetti eggs on some of the kids
Easter Morning!
I decided not to do baskets this year, I just bought some outside toys for them to share
They still got to hunt for eggs though
After church we went down to my parents and the kids had another egg hunt (boy they are sure spoiled:))
Enoch found the biggest egg, he was so excited!!
My brother trying to break the swing
New shirts from Nana!
This past weekend we headed down to visit Dan working in St George. A couple of the neighbors came along. We all had such a great time hanging out and playing!
We had a couple of kids get sick after eating here. Don't think we will go back.
We spent a lot of time swimming. The kids were in heaven!!
Myron takes the kids for a ride, haha!
We went to a place where the rocks looked like crystals. It was so cool, and the kids brought home lots of rocks treasures.
Be careful up there Dan-O!
Such good friends!
Seriously Dan, don't hurt yourself.
All the cute kids!!
Ice cream at Nelson's
Saturday was a bit rainy so we decided to take the kids bowling
On the last day we took a hike in Snow Canyon. The day was beautiful and I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely have to go back some time.
All the adults. These people seriously all make me laugh!
I love my family!! What an awesome trip with great friends!!
Jeffy gets to come grocery shopping with me. He does not like it when I stack food all over him. :D
I decided to install an aux cord in my car because I was tired of not having one. It took me a while but I figured it out. Go me!!!
Look at all those Activity Day's girls!!
In a couple of days my Hannah Bo will be turning 8 and being baptized. She went to her interview with the bishop last night and she was looking so beautiful I just had to get a picture.
And off we go into May!! I hope everyone is doing great!!
Love all the pics! Everything looks so fun! HanHan looks so cute! Tomorrow will be awesome!
