New York City!

We had a great time visiting New York City last week.  Dan was sent there for work and my parents and I decided to join him for a few days.  This was the first time any of us had been to New York.  Enjoy all the pictures.

It wouldn't be New York without the Naked Cowboy

"Ouch" - At Planet Hollywood

I was so excited to see Carlo's Bakery even though I can't eat cake

Inside the Museum of Natural History

I took this great picture of Dan . . .

. . . and he took this blurry picture of me

Yikes!  I'd hate to see this coming at me.

He's thinking "we came all this way to see a giant rock?"

Look deep into our eyes - By this time on the second day our feet were killing us.  If you look close enough you can see it

It's hard to see in this picture but there is a giant whale hanging from the ceiling.  This museum was so awesome!  It was four levels and had EVERYTHING.

This was at the Toys R Us in Times Square

This was the play we went to see.  It was so funny, we all loved it!!

More Times Square when it got busy

On the last day we went to see the Statue of Liberty and it was raining like crazy

There she is!

This picture frightens me

Ellis Island

The famous bull - we couldn't get close to it because there were so many people

On the Brooklyn Bridge

View of the Manhattan Bride from the Brooklyn Bridge

I'd hate to be parked on the top of this strange thing

9/11 Memorial

Rebuilding at Ground Zero

We had a great time in New York but I was glad to come home and see my little girls.

Trip To Boise

This last Monday morning Dan headed out to Boise for work.  A few hours later I got a call from him letting me know some bad news.  He had hung up all of his work clothes in our closet after I washed them and forgot to pack them and bring them, so he only had the work clothes that he was wearing that day.  Silly Dan.  Anyway, he suggested that he would just buy a few things to get him through until he got home in a week and a half.  After we hung up I decided that since Emma had just gotten out of school and I didn't have any big plans for the week that I would drive the clothes up there myself with the girls and stay a few days.  So, the next morning we were on our way.  WOW, it really is a long drive of nothing to get to Boise.  About halfway here Hannah suddenly woke up in a panic saying "POTTY . . .POTTY", well the next rest stop wasn't for another 10 miles and I tried to hurry but we were too late.  Great, now I have to get her changed and cleaned up in a yucky rest stop bathroom.  The rest of the ride here was without incident.  We haven't found a lot to do here and the weather was rather crappy on yesterday so we ended up doing a bit of shopping and going to see The Karate Kid, which was better than I'd thought it would be.  Today we wanted to go to the zoo.  While looking up the info for the zoo I realized that it was a very small zoo that wouldn't take too long to get through.  I will never complain about the Hogle Zoo again.  I honestly felt bad for all ten animals at Zoo Boise.  Yes, it was really that bad.  Anyway, we did take a couple pictures so I thought I'd post them.  Emma took the ones of the animals.  She didn't do too bad.

At the zoo in their new zoo shirts!

Hannah took this picture.  She was trying hard to get me and Emma and the elephant (or should I say elephant statue) in one picture.

The lion was sunbathing
