March was very normal here in the Hastings household. Dan went to work, the kids went to school, and I . . . lets just say I kept busy enough.
Here is Hannah doing her homework one night. She put on her sisters glasses and looked so cute that I had to take a picture.
The kids had a day off early in the month so we decided to take them rollerskating. I'm glad to say that they've made a lot of progress since the first time we took them.
As the weather slowly started getting warmer the kids started heading outside more and more. It's nice to see them outside running around. Even though there was still snow on the ground it was a pretty nice day.
We decided to take the kids to the Safe Kids Fair this year for the first time. It was MADNESS. We had a lot of fun but we kept losing kids in the crowds. We managed to take home all the people we brought there, so I guess everything worked out.
This is the day I decided I needed a new camera. I HATE that in dim light I get spots all over my pictures. I'm in the process of convincing Dan that I really need a new one, but he doesn't seem to be convinced because I already have had a lot of "new" cameras. We'll see how it goes.
Papa was taking the Christmas lights off his roof one day and the girls and Dan decided to hop on the roof to check things out. I'm actually surprised that Dan went up there, he doesn't like heights.
I bought little Easter gel clings for the girls to put on the front window. They had fun doing this. This is pretty much the only Easter decorating we did.
I took some pictures of my niece Cali for her baptism this month. What a cute girl!
One night we must have gone crazy one night because we decided to take 14 of us to Leatherby's. It was so much fun!!
On St Patrick's Day we got a pot of chocolate gold coins and made green waffles.
I had three dozen eggs to dye for my ward Easter party and one day I was watching all the Franc kids with my dad because Nikki and I spent the morning in the ER because she had a migraine so I decided who better to color my eggs for me.
My brother turned 35 this month. Wow, he is getting old! I wrote him an awesome letter reminding him of all the silly stuff he's done and then my sister and I gave him the best gift ever . . . we reenacted a fight we had in our van many many years ago. He did not witness this fight, but once he found out that we actually had a fight in the van he asked us about it again and again and has has been bugging us for YEARS asking what really happened. Now he knows. Happy Birthday Bubba!
Emma and Hannah love dressing up in our clothes to make us laugh.
Cali's big day!
Last night we didn't have much going on so we decided to head out to Scheels for the first time. We had so much fun wandering around for a while.
My dad makes a good skipper!
Easter was as eventful as always. The girls got a bunch of fun stuff to play with outside now that the weather is warming up. After they hunted for eggs we went to church and then down to my moms for another egg hunt and a bbq for dinner. It was a great day!
Hannah totally upstaging Emma
I hope everyone had a great March and a great Easter!!
Here's to April, which will hopefully bring more friends, family and fun!!!
Love the pics! We love the safe fair but did not go this year because it did not start till Saturday. What kind of camera do you have? Just get a new lens maybe? I think your pics are great! And Baylee had totally adopted Hanna's smile. It makes me laugh. AND (not done) Baylee loves to ride bikes, we should have them ride to meet each other and play.
ReplyDeleteMy everyday camera is just a Canon point and shoot, so if the lens stinks then I just need to get a different camera. I should have sent it back months ago but the first couple times I saw the spots I thought it was a fluke. Oh well, I'm sure I'll convince Dan soon enough. Hehe. Hannah would love to ride her bike to meet Baylee! They are the cutest friends. I see notes in her backpack every day from each other talking all about how they are bff's. It makes me smile. :)
